Have you been bullied? Are you a victim of bullying?
Most of the people are bullied in their teens and childhood…
Before I jump to the topic, let me start with a quotation by Chris Colfer, the famous actor says,
“When people hurt you over and over think of them as sand paper.They may scratch and hurt you but in the end you’ll end up polished.”
Now, let’s proceed. So, what is bullying? In short, bullying is a form of aggressive behavior that is hurtful. I must say;
“TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED!”
That’s the GOLDEN RULE and it should be followed in every aspect of your life.
If someone was in a position to stop you from being bullied and did nothing, how would you feel?
If you find that unacceptable, you must do everything you can to stop others from hurting people.
Indeed, bullying is a huge problem in the world. According to recent studies, bullying victims are 9 times more likely to commit suicide. Over 3.2 million students are victims of bullying each year and approximately 160,000 teens skip school due to bullying.
But why should these kids be the ones skipping schools and committing suicide when bullies roam free all over the place?
And what if the kid you bullied at school, grew up, and turned out to be the only surgeon who could save your life?
Bullying someone just because the person is different from you, shows that how unsatisfied are you, of your own self. We are all different and that’s what makes us unique and special in our own ways. That’s what makes life exciting and worth living.
I, myself was bullied at school…
Yes! It was undoubtedly the most depressing period of my life. I was too timid to ask for help. Everything seemed gloomy.
But then one day I realized something, something that I hope you all realize…DIFFERENT is good. When someone tells you that you are different, SMILE, HOLD YOUR HEAD UP AND BE PROUD:) I realized that why should I let the world harm me by their ugly thoughts, words and actions. My precious life is too far and ahead from all this. If I was to commit suicide then why was I born? I was born to fight, to achieve the unachievable and to give my story an inspiring end, not a suicidal one!
I didn’t give up, I kept on fighting the hell out of me, I kept believing in myself! If I can do this; if I can understand the value of my life, if I can fight, if I can survive, then why can’t you?
Let me tell you clearly that I am not a magician, I didn’t have some magical powers at that time. I am not an angel. I am just a simple, common human being like YOU. You and I are made to conquer this world.
Some of the famous people who were bullied in school are short listed below;
1) Jackie Chan; the famous Martial Artist
2) Michael Phelps; the most decorated olympian
3) Daniel Radcliffe; the most favorite movie actor, also known as Harry Potter
And last but not the least,
4)Selena Gomez; one of the favourite singers
These are the names of just a few people, there are many more who were bullied and now are the most favourite ones.
Are you amazed of reading the names of these successful people with hurtful stories of bullying behind their fame and success?
I was very much surprised too. At the end, we only judge the book by it’s cover. We only see what seems good to our eyes. We just focus on their fame, their luxurious lifestyle, their branded and expensive dressings and their fake smiles for the audience.
But what about their untold stories?What about the pain they carry behind their smiles?
But, there are some painful stories behind every successful person. The most common one is ‘Bullying’.
Let me tell you, Zayn Malik and Angelina Jolie were also among the victims of bullying. They were badly bullied at school. Yeah that’s true!
But all these people and many more did not give up…they kept on breathing…they kept moving on…they kept on fighting the hell out of them…they cried; but stood up…
And today they are the most loved ones. We respect them, many of us admire them and consider them as our idols. They are the ones with great fan- following.
Now, think if at that time they would have committed suicide or would have gave up, they would have died without a happy day like today:) They would have died without a SUCCESS STORY! Without a happy and inspiring end:)
What do you do when a chapter ends? Do you close the book and never read it again?
Say yourself every day that it’s just a bad day not a bad life…one bad chapter does not mean your story is over…the sun goes down and it comes back up, the world it turns no matter what.
YOU ARE PERFECT! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! YOU ARE COURAGEOUS! YOU ARE INSPIRING! YOU ARE UNIQUE! YOU ARE SPECIAL!
I would like to conclude by stating that;
“The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look and do nothing.”
Be the voice for those who can’t use their own to yell or scream for help. Be strong, keep your head up high, and do your best to stop bullying once and for all!
Have a great day! Have a great start!
